Într-o seară liniștită de vară, Detectivul Radu stătea în camera lui, cu pisica Noir ghemuită pe birou. Tocmai își terminase tema și se pregătea să citească o carte despre dinozauri, când, dintr-o dată, un zgomot ciudat s-a auzit venind din pod.
Radu și-a pus pălăria de detectiv pe cap și a îndreptat lanterna spre tavan. Apoi s-a uitat la Noir. „Ce crezi că ar putea fi acolo sus?” a întrebat el. Pisica a mieunat curios și a sărit de pe birou.
Detectivul Radu nu putea să lase acest mister nerezolvat. Și-a luat carnețelul, a pus lanterna în buzunarul vestei și a pornit spre scara care ducea în pod. Urcând treptele încet, inima îi bătea tare de emoție. Zgomotele păreau tot mai puternice, iar curiozitatea lui creștea.
Când a ajuns sus, Radu a deschis ușa scârțâitoare și a luminat cu lanterna întunericul din pod. A văzut umbre misterioase și obiecte prăfuite peste tot. Noir i s-a alăturat în cercetare, adulmecând podeaua veche.
Radu a observat urme mici de praf pe podea și câteva pene împrăștiate. A notat rapid totul în carnețelul lui: „Urme mici + pene = posibil păsări”. Dar cum au ajuns ele acolo?
În acel moment, un fâlfâit rapid l-a făcut pe Radu să se întoarcă brusc. Cu lanterna îndreptată înainte, a văzut o mică bufniță cu ochii mari privind fix la el dintr-un colț al podului.
„O bufniță!” a exclamat Radu fericit către Noir, care dădea din coadă nerăbdătoare. Se părea că mica bufniță intrase printr-o gaură micuță din acoperiș și rămăsese blocată aici.
Radu știa ce are de făcut. Cu grijă și fără să sperie bufnița, a lăsat lanterna jos și a deschis fereastra micuță pentru ca aceasta să poată zbura afară în siguranță.
Bufnița s-a uitat la el recunoscătoare și într-un zbor grațios a părăsit podul prin deschiderea liberă. Radu a zâmbit satisfăcut știind că a rezolvat încă un mister, iar Noir torcea mulțumit lângă el.
În drum spre camera lui, Radu s-a gândit cât de important este să fii atent și să ajuți creaturile aflate în nevoie. Chiar dacă era doar un copil de opt ani, știa că poate face diferența prin faptele sale bune.
Cu această lecție prețioasă în minte, Detectivul Radu împreună cu Noir s-au întors la aventurile lor zilnice, gata să descopere noi mistere și să aducă zâmbete celor din jurul lor.

Radu put on his detective hat and aimed his flashlight towards the ceiling. Then he looked at Noir. „What do you think could be up there?” he asked. The cat meowed curiously and jumped off the desk.
Detective Radu could not leave this mystery unsolved. He grabbed his notebook, placed the flashlight in his vest pocket, and headed for the stairs leading to the attic. Climbing the steps slowly, his heart pounded with excitement. The noises seemed louder, and his curiosity grew.
When he reached the top, Radu opened the creaky door and shone the flashlight into the darkness of the attic. He saw mysterious shadows and dusty objects scattered everywhere. Noir joined him in the investigation, sniffing the old floor.
Radu noticed small dust tracks on the floor and some scattered feathers. He quickly noted everything in his notebook: „Small tracks + feathers = possible birds.” But how did they get there?
At that moment, a rapid flutter made Radu turn around abruptly. With the flashlight aimed forward, he saw a little owl with big eyes staring right at him from a corner of the attic.
„An owl!” Radu exclaimed joyfully to Noir, who was wagging her tail eagerly. It seemed the little owl had entered through a small hole in the roof and got stuck there.
Radu knew what to do. Carefully, without scaring the owl, he put down the flashlight and opened the small window so it could fly out safely.
The owl looked at him gratefully, and in a graceful flight, left the attic through the open gap. Radu smiled, satisfied knowing he had solved another mystery, and Noir purred contentedly beside him.
On his way back to his room, Radu thought about how important it is to be observant and help creatures in need. Even though he was just an eight-year-old child, he knew he could make a difference through his good deeds.
With this valuable lesson in mind, Detective Radu and Noir returned to their daily adventures, ready to discover new mysteries and bring smiles to those around them.
